VibeCode is a community of 120,000+ builders across India. This Code of Conduct applies everywhere VibeCode exists — the web app, our Telegram and WhatsApp groups, Discord, in-person meetups, hackathons and any event that carries the VibeCode name. By using VibeCode you agree to follow it.
Our pledge
We're building the friendliest, most useful builder community in India. That only works if every member — regardless of gender, caste, religion, region, language, sexuality, disability, age, experience level or the tools they use — feels safe, respected and free to ship.
Expected behaviour
- ▸ Be kind. Assume the other person is a human having a hard day.
- ▸ Help newcomers. We all started somewhere. No gatekeeping about tools, stacks or 'real' coding.
- ▸ Give credit. Quote prompts, forks and templates back to the original builder.
- ▸ Ship in public and celebrate other people's ships louder than your own.
- ▸ Disagree with ideas, not people. Debate the code, not the coder.
- ▸ Use inclusive language. English, Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Bangla — all welcome.
Unacceptable behaviour
- ▸ Harassment, hate speech, slurs or discrimination of any kind.
- ▸ Sexual attention, sexualised imagery or unwelcome flirting in any VibeCode space.
- ▸ Doxxing — sharing another member's private info (address, phone, employer, personal socials) without consent.
- ▸ Recruiter spam, cold DMs for jobs, or scraping the directory to email members.
- ▸ Misleading job posts, fake 'equity-only' listings, or hiring flows that ask candidates to build free production work.
- ▸ Copy-pasting prompts, code or templates without credit; passing off community work as your own.
- ▸ Sustained disruption of discussions, threads or events.
- ▸ Threats of violence, encouraging self-harm, or promoting illegal activity.
Reporting
If you experience or witness a violation, email vibecoderindia@gmail.com with as much context as you can share (links, screenshots, usernames, timestamps). Reports are read by a small team of maintainers and stay confidential. You can also tag any @admin in the app to escalate.
How we respond
- ▸ Step 1 — Private warning and a request to edit or remove the content.
- ▸ Step 2 — Temporary suspension from posting, DMs or a specific channel.
- ▸ Step 3 — Permanent ban from all VibeCode spaces and removal from the directory.
- ▸ Serious violations (threats, doxxing, targeted harassment) skip straight to Step 3.
