This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) that vibecode.in uses. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy — read that for the bigger picture on personal data.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can remember you between visits — for example, to keep you signed in or remember dark mode. Some cookies are set by us (first-party), some by trusted partners (third-party).
Strictly necessary
- ▸ sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token — keeps you signed in (Supabase Auth). Expires on sign out.
- ▸ vc_session — CSRF protection for form submissions. Session-only.
- ▸ vc_theme — remembers light/dark preference. 1 year.
- ▸ vc_consent — records your cookie choices so we don't ask again. 6 months.
Analytics (optional)
- ▸ _vc_anon — anonymous, hashed page-view analytics. No IP stored beyond 24 hours. 6 months.
- ▸ We use a privacy-first, self-hosted analytics stack. No Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no ad networks.
What we do NOT use
- ▸ No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- ▸ No cross-site tracking pixels.
- ▸ No selling or sharing of cookie data with third parties.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Arc, Brave all have a Privacy → Cookies section). Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and break parts of the app. You can withdraw analytics consent any time from Settings → Privacy.
Do Not Track
We honour the DNT and Global Privacy Control signals — if your browser sends either, we skip analytics cookies automatically.
